All of CyberLead Inc. online loan applications services are secured by state-of-the-art 128-bit Thawte Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificates to protect the transmission of personal data. The data is encrypted and stored in a secure database. The database server is protected by several network firewalls and is located in an offsite facility with 24-hour security to provide extra protection and redundancy.
Authentication
We really are who we claim to be. Authentication allows the recipient (the browser user) to determine the origin i.e. to confirm the sender's (i.e. the web server owner's) identity - As part of the initial "handshake" process, the server presents its certificate to the browser to authenticate the server's identity. The authentication process uses Public-Key encryption and Digital signatures to confirm that the server is in fact the server it claims to be. - You can view our certificate and see the details of the web site's owner and make a decision about trusting the site. Certificates signed by a trusted Certificate Authority (e.g. Thawte) are automatically accepted by the browser.
Message privacy
SSL encrypts all the information exchanged between the online loan applicant and our servers while in transit, which means that personal information cannot be viewed by outside parties. Once the server has been authenticated, the client and server use techniques of Symmetric-Key encryption, which is very fast, to encrypt all the information they exchange for the remainder of the session.
Enables SSL Security
An SSL Web Server Certificate is required for us to use the built-in encryption that is distributed with practically every web browser and web server. - Without SSL, customers get a warning that information typed in a web form is not secure and could be viewed by others. When SSL is enabled, the data is encrypted and cannot be viewed by others, and the warning does not appear.
Software Compatibility
Thawte SSL Web Server Certificates are compatible with almost all web browsers in use on the Internet - from Netscape 4.0 and Internet Explorer 3.02 onwards with no additional downloads. |
